Well I finaly went and did it, spent the better portion of a irs return check and bought a 441. Only ran it a few cuts as it was getting dark but it sure is alot nicer than the crud I have been running. I may even get the muffler mod on it and a few other things I have been reading about. Hope I am not getting addicted to this saw stuff like the rest of you guys and gals.

In the last few weeks the Ace Hardware up here has sold 5 or 6 441's. I know, I've been watching them and just as soon as one comes in it's gone. The 361's still outsell it but they claim they haven't sold a 440 since they came in. They've only sold one 460 in the last 6 months. The 660's and 880's are still selling the same. There are actually 3 people on the list for the next ones coming in... I've got stakes on one of them. Of course, they have all been coming in full wrap... that may help some.

Congrats on the sweet new saw! Anyone know if the muffler is too restricted on the stratocharged saws? Did I hear here that they are OK stock?

They are just fine stock. I donlt think anyone has improved the cut times by just opening up the muffler.. but they do sound more manly

They are a fantastic saw, just wait until it is broken in! Personally I don't think they need a muffler mod as much as the 361's do. The 441 is a smooth as a baby's a**! Have fun with it and be safe.
