Great site, It's always' Great' to just set back relax and enjoy reading where there is so much information. Or asking a questions, and getting many response answers from so many good people, who are willing to share their familiarity experience. With all their different solutions toward ideals, to new
and old remedies. Helping other's to get by through day to day life. I have read a few fascinating stories here about good people helping others in need. ''just recently'' I'm just very pleased at your fast action. Keep it Rockin In The U S A .. How about you did you get all your question answered ? lol

I wood agree 100%, Great Site, for sure the most active forum that I am a member of, hobbies and other interest. At first I just searched, read & read, them started posting some questions and information to always find people reading them, commenting, and helping. Then I found that I was able to help others and add comments as I learned more. Just an awesome site, we should come up with an annual event where some of us could meet in person.

I agree guys great site...used to frequent archeryworld as well as arcticchat and prefer this site. Different group of people and much more active.
Getting kinda expensive w/ saw purchases!! Think I need to build another barn.

Honey Locust Beer Recipe request

Now, See I was just trying to get some attention here, how to make Honey Locust Beer. Besides making fence post, furniture or enjoying a hot fire with honey locust. But I thought it would be nice to have a recipe to satisfied my taste buds, after a long afternoon sawing, splitter wood or just ''Me"' to rattling that I made my own beer . But I know this isn't a Moonshine site . Some willI say was't fair game for me to get what I want in such strategic move..Lol.. Great site:cheers:

Yes this is an excellent site! I became a senior member in a very short period of time here. Everyone's been helpful and very friendly. I'd love to be able to meet a bunch of you guys and check out your stuff. I've learned a lot here and hope to continue to do so. Tons of great information to be had here. Hat's off to Moderator TreeCo:cheers:  !

Great site, it's true

Couple of things I've noticed about this site: Many of the members are highly family-oriented (like me). Interesting and nice how many members derive a ton of satisfaction from going off on a cold dark morning knowing their families are nice and toasty from the wood that they cut up w/ their saws. Also have noticed that despite zillions of "What saw should I buy" thread, members still patiently reply, time after time.

I have CAD but no D - as in dough. Maybe I've got chain saw addiction disorder minus dough. Would that be CAD-D? No dough 'cause I've got twins, a boy and a girl, headed off to college and natch, they have their hearts set on out-of-state schools. Double tuition whammy.

CAD is kinda like another affliction I had, still have: Addiction to beautifully made electric trains. I like the ones made in Germany (Marklin). I dunno, there's just something irresistable about a product that's really, really well made whether it's a Stihl, Husky, you name it. I wonder how many saws I would own if money were no object. Shudder.

Well, if Bud can "beechwood age" their beers, why not "Honey Locust Aged"?

(Actually Bud uses beechwood because it imparts the least amount of flavor... DOH!)

Wikipedia says, "Despite its name, Honey locust is not a significant honey plant. The name derives from the sweet taste of the legume pulp, which was used for food by Native American people, and can also be fermented to make beer."

So I would take your favorite wheat beer recipe, and add some mushed up pods in the secondary fermentation...

Austin Home Brew has a "Honey Wheat Ale" http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_452_42_163&products_id=324 that you could probably use...

I told one of my friends about the site. He helps me out from time to time but not all that intrested in the whole thing. He said a forum about firewood? How much can you say? LOL!!!!

Well' that's what I was thinking why not honey locust beer ? I'm going to do a inspection to see them pods for myself .I'm just not to familiar how to approach the ideal or project. Except for the thorns and I'm talking Clusters! very intimidating for me just to stay clear actually. It's been a while since I've made a batch of beer. And I kind 'a stumbled over this particular tree and uses, So I said hmmm.

1947wdx----Thank's for the Austin Homebrew site.

We would have to put some thought into this now..Maybe some sort of swap meet ? Fundraisers donations , door prizes, the site has the potential possibility of a get together.
