skin cancer from the sun. my hips and knees hurt when i'm not working, doc tells me that climbing is harder on the joints than being a professional athlete.

I would say moving up and through and back down a tree requires a degree of athleticism. And as long as the customer's check clears, you're being paid. So technically, I would say you qualify as a professional athlete.

Yup, I did it boyz. No more gas, oil, fumes, fouled plugs and extreme noise levels. (no wonder my ears are shot) Converted to this new chainsaw system that reaches 40 plus feet, my feet stay on the ground, and eliminated the insurance risks of climbers falling. Just read where a climber slipped and fell on a live wire, the wire is still alive but he ain't. Google "Extended Reach Chainsaw System". Every arborists' dream machine. I'm no longer out on a limb or at the end of a rope. My ears stopped ringing as well, neighbors appreciated how quiet it is too!

Go get em boyz!

this guy :censored:ing sucks. clearly he is spamming several threads. two ropes: one around his neck, tied to a large oak. The other, around the pintle on my 450. Stomp the accelerator.

and yes, cirrosis of the liver:givebeer:

Eliminating occupational hazards from chainsaws was the thread I believe. I found this on youtube and went electric, no spills, no falls, no climbers, here are the links if interested in yr safety.

So... the guy in your vids has ZERO PPE on, is hacking to pieces and otherwise apparently heathy tree, and can barely control your contraption.

Disgusting.

You might want to re-think your marketing strategy before trying to pitch this POS again. I will stick with my Stihl HT101. HACK.

This guy is really making me angry...

Hypocritical professionals aka my supervisor and owner of the company. I have heard that the Sycamores are carcinogenic but what else isn't these days?

There are unknown occupational illnesses in all jobs. We are exposed to exhaust linked to rheumatory arthritis, gas and chemical synthetic oils absorbed through the skin and lungs, electric magnetic waves (EMW) from the electrical and spark of the chain saw, and so on that has a cause and effect on our body. Besides falls, there are illnesses you or other tree workers may have that may be directly related to tree work.

What diseases, illnesses, or cause of death are tree climbers, trimmers, arborists, and you (tree workers you personally know and who have been in the business for a long time, besides falls), have or died from?

Well brown lung can be caused by breathing hardwood dust,as well as grain, and cotton lint.
I have been in all three  did I mention I have developed a permanent wheeze:monkey:
It will likely be my doom who knows I am not going to live in fear though. Long term exposure also leads to laz-itus which in turn turns to equip-itus and broke-itus you have got to love this career to stay in it for long haul.
