Was told it's an 046 but I went to get new caps and its not a flipper job.

Sn is 137306821

A pic would help, tho i know there are guys who can run the serial for you. 046 would not have flippy caps. Those didnt start until the “ms” saws (ms 460, ms660, ms 290 etc..)

Well I had the fella at Runnings run the number. I'll post a picture of my running 33 dollar 064 when I get home.

I have a real tag coming. All of 4.49, along with 2 bolts for the bottom part of the muffler and an o-ring for the gas cap. I honestly cant believe that it worked with nothing more than a quick putzing around. I guess that 36" bar will be going on either this or the 056 tomorrow.

It ran really well. I think I am going to do another compression check because hot dang just about ripped my hand off. The story here is a buddy called me and said "Im standing in front of a guy who has two 046's and an 066. One 046 needs a recoil at least, the other one dont know, and the 66 needs a bearing and the clutch is already out. He wants a hundred bucks for all three do you want em? He can toss in a couple bars and chains too" YUP. Sure do.

So first off this saw starting and running with minimal messing around was pretty great, and then finding out it was an 064 was even better. The other two are in fact an 046 and an 066. The 046 needs a decompressor and a recoil line.....might get lucky again and that's all it'll take. The piston/rings/cylinder looked good from the intake and exhaust holes. But thats going to be another story.

That oversize handle is a darn nice idea. I might have to adopt that. Yesterday I put the 36" bar and chain on, switched to a 7 tooth 3/8 sprocket and started cuttin slabs out of my 3 foot wide hickory trunk. Cuts were a little under a minute and just as smooth as can be. It was a little smokey on the 1st cut but I think that could have been oil in the cylinder from storage. By the second cut it was cleared up. This saw really is a heck of a machine. Haha and the deal ended up those 3 saws for 100 bucks so $33.33 each. I gotta say these big saws are addictive if the way this one cuts is any indication.
