I was hired to prune up some Olive Trees in someone's arboretum mainly because the person they had do some work on them was a mechanic.... It wasn't his line of work. The guy did the trees some damage.
I've heard they are the most resilient trees to name, and are the most long living ones. These few don't prove that trait though. Where branches were semi heavily pruned up but not topped. They have lost their leaves though. A look under the skin shows the wood is still green. There is no problem with access to sun or water either.
I'm hoping these are no more sensitive than the run of the mill pepper trees or similar. I don't think so though. I'd hate to have given these a standard trim job, and then get a call about trees dieing because of me.
