What is this thing that came with my Homelite XL-2?

I'm kind of stumped at the moment on how to use this... but it has some thick, green grease-like stuff in it. Also those nozzle's. I thought they were to put on this syringe-like thing to prime a saw, but the tip is to narrow to fit those on there.

So, if someone could shed some light on this situation, I'd be delighted to know what I can use this for.

Looks like what I have seen for greasing the tip of the bar. I think some of dad's old Echos had it IIRC.
 
I forgot to put the tip in the picture, but I do have one. The problem is it won't fit the hole in the grease gun.

EDIT: I got it on there now, I spoke too soon.

Alright so, mystery solved. I will use this grease gun when needed to grease the bar. As it said the bar should be hot though, to let the old grease out when the new one is squeezed in there.
