Sorry for the dumb question.
Bought a used MS250. Was cleaning it. During,I moved the saw from one truck bed to the other. Found this where the saw was. I don't know what to do with it

its called a baffle plate, goes behind the air filter in the top cover/ housing plastic when the air filter cover is removed, it just slots in.

yes you need it, well you dont, but the saw does.
