Do I need to measure bore to be sure? A friend of mine gave me this to go through. Runs but not reliably. It is currently wearing a 20" .325 bar.

Measuring it is probably you best bet. Several models were 'Timbermasters". Late 80's, early 90's had that style handgaurd.

If came with 20" and timbermaster I bet the bare bore 54cc 3300. Yours is 97.

Dads bought new 94 and used Forester on clutch cover. That changed in 95 and later.
