how about 3/4" pitch? 5/16ths file?
You'll have to have Rotax come back on that one.3/4" is harvestor chain. Some of the old Mall's may have used that large of chain but the largest I've seen is 5/8".

Hey Guys,

Generally speaking, you use a file 1/2 the size of the chain pitch. As the chain is filed back you may need to use a smaller file.

I have many Disstons and Malls that have 9/16" and 3/4" pitch chain.

The two-man Macs generally use 5/8" or 3/4".

The largest pitch chain that I have is 7/8". This is what is on both of my Von Ruden PTO driven saws. This chain is also Chisel configuration!!!

I know other pitches were offered for these saws.

Very important to use a non-tapered file. The large sizes were available a few years ago.

So many saws, so little time. Larry
