What would you pay for a new Stihl MS361

I know it's a discontinued saw and I probably just paid way too much for one off eBay but maybe you all can make me feel better.

Dig deep into your pockets and tell me what you'd REALLY spend for a 100% new:

I wouldnt buy one period. An associate had an 036, had more problems then any saw Ive ever seen. Hopefully they changed it signifigantly when they upgraded the model #'s.

Oh yeah, did I say it's brand new? also the NEWER 362 is $679 with the 20" bar. (no wrap)

Also comes with scabbard, tools, manual, oil, chain...

side note: Being new to these saws I talked to my local stihl dealer and he said he'd rather have the 361 than the 362 IF you could find one....) so that's what I did...

Bought a 96 last year, replaced clutch springs and paid $250 for it. Guy at the shop said he'd sell it for $350 if he was to sell it. So worth the money, runs like a top.

I have ran stihls since before some folks had ever heard of them. I never was really fond of that particular saw.

I bought my 361 ~2 years ago, to replace my $15 038 AV (yes 15 one five dollars :msp_w00t that I friggin kick myself for selling for $150 Regardless the past is past. But My local Stihl dealer still has a MS 361 w/ 20" bar no 3/4 wrap on the shelf. Was just there last week was amazed they still had one. Not sure the price though...

I had another dealer offer to trade me a new 362 even for my 1 yr old 361 he had a list of customers want them... Figured I should hold on to it if that many people liked them. Except for a bad coil mine has been a great saw.

I bought the last one I found in Arkansas, and I love it. I paid 679.00 for it about 8 months ago, and yes they are hard to come by since they were replaced with the "clean" model 362.

Seems to me that model #'s that end with an even # are HO saw's.
