Just finished a rebuild of a saw I've had for a little while. Brad Corradi set me up with a friend of his who got me a NOS case w/bearings and clutch seal cheap and I decided to redo my 056. Good thing, too. The main bearings were ruff!!!! I knew for a fact the clutch side was a tiny bit loose, but didn't realize how bad it was till I got her all apart.
Anyhow, a new case and bearings, couple new covers, some repainting and this is what I have. I do believe the saw starts easier and cuts better than before. Saw has the factory dual-port muffler, and it whoops some butt. I wonder how it'll cut if I sharpen the chain.
The 028 in front is the saw I got through Brad's friend. He's got more for sale, check the used equipment board.
To those folks who aren't big fans of the old stuff, I just enjoy tearing 'em apart and fixin'em up. When they run well when I'm done, that's a bonus!!!
