guy selling it doesn't know where it came from, but has 181 se on the side... is it worth buying? circa $120, ( £65 )

The British Army used (use????) the 181se, and the 281xp - it is most likely one of those 181s, sold as surplus.

I have seen pics of them in cameo colors before, but not in pure green - but I find it likely that green is the color they came in from the factory.

They have also used orange 281xps, probably supplemental aquirements, at a later time.

Husky have sold several models in green, to different Armies.

I had a 181SE for 10 years, great saw. Only problem I ever had was the muffler bolts walking out. Cut 10 cords a year with it.

yup they will strip out the threads too,keep the right L wrench handy
