Where Are All the 346XP's????

Same place the 357 went... onto the EPA's list of victims...

Say what you will, but I remain convinced that the EPA is the most significant force that has resulted in the demise of those 2 great saws...

They had to boost the "environment friendly" factor of the product line as a whole... Just like fleet average MPG ratings the auto industry has been saddled with.

I wonder when we will have 4-stroke saws shoved down our collective throats...

NOS NE 346XP. My personal saw. Ported with complete 357XP intake tract.

NOS OE 346XP. Sold, but setting in my shop waiting to be ported.

There's another NOS NE 346XP waiting for porting as well.

Made mine out of a rebuilt 353 with new NE 346 top end, gasket delete and muff modded, quite liked it till I got a 357xp

Now its just another ginger stepchild

I have a 346, 353, 359 and a 362XP that I'll probably have to part with some day but not today..

Why would anyone want one of those ugly orange things, anyways, when they can have a sexy red one instead? NE top end, ported w/ 357xp intake and carb... it's okay, I guess.

It's been several years since I've been active here. Anyone notice there are virtually no Husqvarna 346xp's for sale on Ebay or anywhere else? Lots of them out there, so people must be hording them. So what would you have to get to part with your 346xp?

I have one I'm thinking about selling since I don't have a need for it. The problem is figuring out how much to ask for it.

I still have a new one from 2010, Its been fueled, started, drained, and cased for the last 11 years. This one has never seen wood. What would it take to let it go, idk, something stupid ridiculous might do it.

I cheated and put a 346 top end on a 350...I've never seen an original offered in my neighborhood. Mostly homeowner saws in my neck of the woods.

I’ve got a ported NE 346 as well as a 345 with ported 346 OE top end. Love them although the actual 346 is much easier to change the chain due the the clearance around the clutch.

The 346 has sentimental value-got it from a fellow AS’er who has since passed. The 345 may end up being sold to a friend but I can’t make up my mind.

Looks like I kinda started something by saying I still have one....Mine's original as far as I know but the bar was a little scarred up so I painted it and put a new chain on it. I also have a 353 which I prefer since it has a comp release...

Shortly after I bought my 346xp i bought a new 353 clutch cover for it because I wasn’t fond of the silver, so i swapped it out. Still have the silver one wrapped up somewhere.

Meh, I had one and felt it was too heavy for the power, so I sold it and kept my MS250 instead. Plus, dem Piltz guys don' make de fancy hot-rodder kits fer a tree fawty six so dey must knot be as gud as a Steel two-fiddy.
