i been looking to find a place to get some signs made. to advertise my Tree service i been to 4 differnt places to see if they made them.and had no luck on finding anyone to make them for me.i'm just looking for a cheap magnet stick on sign for the side of my trucks.does anyone know where i can get some made at thats not goin to cost a cuople of hundred bucks?

Google yellow pages.

Type in "Magnetic signs".

This comes up.
Lenoir City Magnetic Signs | Magnetic Signs in Lenoir City, TN - YP.com

20+ vendors in Lenoir city and more in the area.

I'll bet that vinyl lettering would be both cheaper and last longer than the Magnetic signs though. Ours blow off with the pressure washer, get dirt under 'em and scratch the paint.

Only advantage of the magnetic is that we can run stealth when checking our competitors at markets.;)

Good luck to you!!

Stay safe!

Stay away from the magnets, IMO anyways. Scratched paint real bad.

I will keep that in mind! Did u take em off like once a week and wash truck and back of magnet? I know that is SUPER conveinent. I just bought some mags and I dont care for em. They look OK..but just OK. I was worried about fading from the reg type lettering. But I am having second thoughts. I maybe better to have the doors and tail gate "shot" with alittle paint if or when trade/sell time. MY buddy said that buffing out often takes care of it. I do know that putting on a magnet and just forgetting about it is a bad idea. But what would makem scratch the paint?

I've got the equipment and made several signs/banners/decals/trucks/trailers etc

the magnet base needs to be thin and flexible to match the curves of the door or body panel well. The corners have to have a good radius/rounded cut on them so as not to catch the wind. And they do need to be removed and cleaned weekly.

The vinyl decals that you can put directly on your truck come in several different grades/thickness/uv stability etc. If you want cheap, you'll get cheap, if you want good, you'll have to pay more.
The higher priced vinyl is more resistant to uv fade and is thicker and more flexible than thinner cheap stuff.

IMHO you can also get them to make you some yard signs "Tree services provided by Joe Bobs Tree Service @ 555-1212" etc to leave in folks yards for a week or so. Collect them back and reuse them. They're light/inexpensive and really work (if you do good work lol)

oh i c well thanks you guys i'll look and see what i caome up with.i was thinking about the vinyl signs but dad said that he like to take it off everynow and then to check competors nprices sometimes.so i think the magnet signs will do pretty good for our trucks.and i told him with our trucks will won't have to worry about scrathes. because they are already scrathed up pretty good for firewood hauling for the woods LOL.so i'll see what i can get 4 signs for and i'll post a picture of them when i get them done to let everyone see what they look like.and to see what everyone thinks and see if you all think they will grab someone eye's and make them look LOL.and i'll get some shirts and yard signs made too while i'm at it to make us look more professional when we do a job for someone.so thanks again everyone for the help.

And they're illegal too. At least here in Mass, you can use them for up to six months after registration( commercial) after that you better be Lettered. I got the cheapos from Vistaprint to start with. They suck. Go out and get lettered. It is much more professional.

We used to have the magnetic ones and I didn't like them. One truck wore them for a few years and all the paint behind the magnet let go. I figured it was from moisture staying between the door and magnet after a rain or something,,, but thats just a guess.

I don't know of any in Lenoir City, but theres a few in Athens that does ours, and theres gotta be some in Knoxville.

Ask at auto body shops...they generally have connections with places that do vehicle lettering.

I paid $125 for 2 doors and tailgate (no additional set-up fee).

oh ok i'll see what i can find out i know i called one place and they wanted like 175.00 for one door and thats a little to high there.but i'll something in a few days or so.
