I was watching a Bob Vila show maybe 2 days ago. They were out I guess in California. Bob and this other guy were walking around a property and then went outside. A big Juniper bush had to be removed. As I watched the show they had a construction worker up in the tree maybe 5 or so feet off the ground. Maybe 10 feet. Well the construction worker did not have a safety line on, or saddle or anything else. The guy went and was swinging a chain saw around all over the place. To keep himself up in the tree he had his feet in a crotch and had his back up against a branch. Then he had to take off the branch which he had his back up against so he got down and was cutting above his head with a chain saw. There was a guy on the roof with a little Manilla rope that was too short. The guy was supposedly pulling on the rope and when the branch came part way down he had to let go of it otherwise he would have been pulled off of the roof. I was wondering that if they were on a Bob Vila show why wouldn't they follow ANSI regulations? I mean putting something like that on public TV is asking for it really...
Just my opinion though.
