Take your pick, I guess with that selection that you listed, there proably isn't nothing to say but get what you think you'll like. Everyone here will have ideal liking but I don't think It'll matter. What are you looking to do maybe narrow it down to what model rather than make.

Firewood is all it will be used for

American Elm and Ash as well as poplar and other Aspen's most can be handled with an 18" 55-60cc but the elm gets big and needs power as well and needs 30" or so bar to keep it uncomplicated

Your not asking for much are you!! Are you looking for something to run a 30" bar. I cut mostly American Elm with a Stihl 310 and a 20" bar. It's a 59cc unit, works okay does exactely what I need. But if your wanting a machine to slug a 30" bar maybe go for the 460 or 660 Stihl, Which I think would be overkill 80% of the time. Most here will say the 361 Stihl which I have had a lot of time behind and is a very nice saw but I didn't feel I could justify paying the extra coins for. I'd rather have the 460 Stihl if money isn't a issue.

28" bar, 066. Good for the big stuff, overkill for the medium stuff, and too much saw for the small stuff. Hopefully you've got other saws, because I would not want this to be my only/primary saw...

in our forestry class they provide the saws for us, we use husqvarna, stihl, and jonsered saws. all clocking in at about 60-65ccs. every saw also runs a 16" bar, and those 16 in bars we used we cut everything from 1" to 25" trees, we got into some bigger stuff but not much, either way a 16" bar handled it all, as long as you know how to use your saw you could get a decent saw with a 20" bar and take down almost anything you could expect to find for firewood.

The saw I use most is

McCulloch MS1850AV I like it very much.

Husqvarna 455 I don't like it much, when I first bought it, it ran lean had to cut away the limiters to rich-en it up a bit, the chain had a jumping off issue, replaced the sprocket with a rim & drum fixed that, still don't like it much,

McCulloch 610 great saw 20" and cuts it all.

But some of this old Elm is huge and hard, I want to cut it like butter.

Stihl 880 it's a monster with a monster $$$. If that don't cut it like butter, than dynamite it!

buy serveral then decide.husky are slime designed. sthils are more box shape. you won.t know what makes you happy until you buy at least 2 or three

Me, for best reliability I pick Stihl. Dealer support, parts availubility are by far better here for Stihl also. Never had solo or Jonsered.
Just bought my 3rd new saw of all time, (I usually buy used and fixibles),This time its the Makita (Dolmar) 6401. I've had and witnessed great reliability and performance from prior generations of Sachs-Dolmar,only the dealer network and parts availubility have suffered.

I own both a Husky 359 (non catted) and a Stihl 361. 90% of the time I will pick up the Husky. I couldn't really tell you why, but I love its performance levels over the 361. Just my two cents. :deadhorse:
