I'm putting together an order from CCD, and I'm not sure if the following chain will work ok on an MS260 PRO.

LG Chisel .063 Gauge
Item No: 35LG-67 $10.95

.325 Pitch - Drive Link Count 67

The Stihl recommended chain is #3977 (26 RM2-67) and costs over $20 a pop at the local dealer.

Any help is appreciated.

Look on your bar,it will tell you the gauge, pitch and number of drive links needed to fit your size bar.

Hi
I assume that you have a 16" bar on your saw.
If you do, the chain that you mentioned will fit.
I was originally from Pottstown.

Is that putztown or Pot Town. Right outside of Pottstown are some wonderful pigeon shoots. Dan have you ever been to pikeville?

Hi reiterch

Try Oregon 22LP67 on your saw, it will handle it. The LP has a ramped link combined with the depth gauges but it bores well and cuts faster than the .325 LG on the saws that will pull it. It`s not listed on the website but give them a call and they will spin `em up for you.

The 35 LG chain is okay, but it has a fairly low profile cutting tooth....any of the 33, 34, 35 LG is a low tooth design...
The Stihl RM2, if I remember right from Stihl-dealer days, is a darn safety chain, so if you must buy Stihl chain, ask for 26 RS, a much more aggressive, good cutting chain. OR as suggested get a 22LP (Oregon chain) which has the extra bumper link but has a nice high cutting tooth on it which throws the chips quite well.
