Looking for a decent , easy to use , reasonable price small engine tach ? Thinking about the one that has a wire that wraps around the spark plug wire , just to check rpm . Any idea's ? I have the one that uses the reflective strip , but you can't put the strip around the plug wire ? or am I wrong ? Thanks !

Fast-Tach from Edge and Engines. Its wireless so no need to wrap it around the plug

Do you want to use it for one saw or multiple saws?
I have the fast tach and works connection. The works connection works just as well but is easier to see your RPMs in the cut but it is limited to one saw use, or at least it would be for me.

You would likely end up hating the works connection then. Save your pennies until you can get the fast tach imo.

I got one of the work connection tachometers. It works fine. It is a hassle to move from saw to saw and I have just zip tied it to my stihl for now but as much as I use a tach it was a good buy.
