In their day the best mid range saw. And IMHO one of the best saws ever made. My 032 that I bought in the early 80's has cut more wood than i could possibly remember. Has heated many houses I have lived in and cut some amazingly big trees when I lived in S.E. Ohio. A good friend has 2 031's and feels the same way I do about them. Just really rugged, reliable great running saws. The only drawback if you can call it that is the exhaust comes out close to the air filter. Have to keep it clean. I think one of the reasons they went to the vertical cylinder setup. But look at the new Husky's- going back to the old slanted machines! Wonderful saws!!!

I like the 031AV personally. Mine was the first new saw that I bought with my own money. I bought it new over 30 years ago.

I like the pull handle on that 031. I really like that black and silver Dolmar in the back too. Is it a 112 or 120?

I don't remember I gave that Dolmar away as a door price at my GTG last March.

If you are making money with your saw then I think you need the fastest, lightest and meanest saw out there. Most people do it for their own trees and or their own firewood and saving a buck is the name of the game. I would love to have a MS880 but until I can make enough with it to pay for itself I will just have to whittle them down with my farmboss.

Hey SawTroll, How do you like my mid size firewood saws?.. (I can picture you shaking your head in disgust) :hmm3grin2orange:

Not everyone needs the latest & greatest cutting edge technology :)

No, some times I do cut firewood with my 1970 Jonsereds Raket 621 (56cc), but that one has less weight and more power than an 032, 031 or 030.....
