The rotor will probably need to be machined if it has eaten through
the bearings although I have never seen one that bad. Altec has the
parts you need I am curious why you think it needs shaft?

well just incase if its bad i know the bearing are because as soon as you engage it thats what you hear those bearings.. is the website

If you just need the bearings, I would go to an industrial bearing supply house in your area and save yourself the Altec markup. They can also get you the tapered bushing that the pulley and the flywheel are mounted on. If it's that old you will probably break one of them getting the flywheel of the pulley off. The tapered bushing is a cast piece that breaks if you hit it too hard. I know, mine cost me $140. from the bearing supply house when it broke taking the flywheel off. Altec wanted $350. plus shipping for it.
