how big a branch can a 16" whisper chipper handle?

I have some slabs that are left over after bandsaw milling pine... some are as much as 4" thick in the middle.. I have milled several down by 1/3 so that most of the pieces are about 5x4 in sort of a humped triangle shape.... will my chipper handle these without any problems?

I have heard that it doesn't handle water-oak branches or vines very well and will clog... is this true?

Are there any other nuances about type of wood and size that are important to know?

Thanks.

It will handle that I have chipped 6" stuff fairly regular. It will do better green but will take it dry too. Large sized wood it better cut into four foot length so the machine doesn't bog down is yours a 300 six? Remember to feed from the side of shoot so spitback don't get ya in the :jawdrop:
