This is from some White Pine we think came down in the micro burst of 2008. I limbed it up then cut three sections eight foot long, seemed like everything took longer today but we did get five boards (one inch thick) out of the smallest eight footer.

I plan on doing the same tomorrow,in picture 100-5053 is the eight foot section the White Pine Slab for the coffee table will come from, that will happen on Sunday.

nice work. looks like good stuff! my sawmilling today was full o frustration. at least someone milled some nice straight lumber.

Looks nice.
Can we assume CSM?

How often did you have to sharpen chain?
Any idea of inches/minute? in/min

Alaskan Chainsaw Mill. I popped the top and milled the five boards on one chain.(Never Sharpened in the Woods)

The boards are eight footers, my guess is they took about five - six minutes, just a guess.

Thanks Mike. I had my share of frustration, seemed like yesterday I had a harder time getting the log up in the air. Going back in for another five or six boards today.
