Just picked a new laser forestry pro bar for my 036 project. It's a 20" and man is it heavy....way heavier than my 20" ES bar on my 361. I'm just wondering who makes this for laser? Might need to find something lighter because it seems very unbalanced.

Looks like it would be a tough bar. I came across a Sandvik Windsor Roll Top Super Pro that was made in Sweden.
Maybe Saw Troll knows more about this.

I can't comment on that bar , never had any sprocket nose (corrected/edited) bars.
But my OEM Oregon made Dolmar bar , 20" sprocket tip , is 1200 gram (1.2 Kg) heavy , both my saws handle it very well in terms of balance.

Drill a couple 2-3" holes along the bar , that should lighten it a bit!
Or grind half of those new heavy teeth back on that chain. :ices_rofl:
Putting some lead weights in Your saws fuel and oil tank should also help regain some balance.
I'm just trying to help! :dumb:

HAHAHAHAHA I could do something like that! I haven't put fuel or oil in it yet it also doesn't have the recoil on it yet (forgot to pick up the spring that holds the rotor on)......mabey the balance will feel better with a little more wieght in the powerhead.

If you are saying the OP's bar is a roller tip, you are not correct. The OP's bar is a sprocket nose....
My mistake , sprocket nose - sorry!

I don't use either of those!
Don't see the point as I never had issues with sprocket tip bars (if that is the correct term).
The bar always wears out before the integrated sprocket gives up - but that is just my experience!

There is some underground german bar manufacturer who does private label work. Baileys had them for a while as Carlton bars. They have an oregon style tip but are either painted or clear coated metal. They are heavy but very hard wearing. They sort of look like a Tsumura but have a different tip style. I have a couple of them and they are very good, very hard bars. They wear much better than an oregon PM bar IME. The rails really dont need much atttention. I have never found the name of the company that actually makes them.

O.E.M. is the name of the manufacturer. I've heard that they are no longer in business??

They are out there in Carlton label and various Laser labels but only old stock.

I didn't think it was a tsumara....if OEM is a company that makes and re brands bars that has to be what it is I'm thinkin....seems like good quality especially for the price....it was right around $40

Sorry, I don't - but is it the same German stuff that used to be rebranded for Carlton?

Edit, several others beat me to it - so I guess it is...
