I know i brought this up in a different post, but check this thing out. I asked the seller what happend and he said that the sprak plug hole is stripped. I asked him a again what really happened(for ????s and giggles) and he came back with a same line..... except his letters were capitalized like he was yelling. I said back to him, well whats that got to do with the rest of the other problems?

Already too expensive.. I've never seen a decent plug thread repair on one of these.. and you want to bet the guy tried it without removing the cyinder? The rest of the problems are cosmetic, maybe unrelated other than it indicates the guys doesn't look atfter his saws and has a big wrench.

No aftermarket cylinders available either...

I thought about bidding on it too, but by time you spend all the money for parts and shipping.....mind you what ever the saws final bid is....... I could go over to Country True Value and buy a brand new one with a 20" bar for $580.00.

If someone buys that. I want the junk head for research AND I'LL pay for it.

Hey Lake, how much money, in parts, would it take to fix that saw?

Assuming the P&C are shot, and he hasn't dropped metal down in the crankcase, the P&C alone are $296 list price... You might get a dealer to give you a better price, but...

I might just have a "research head"... I dig early next week. Guess you don't want it cut in half?

Cut in half is OK, but I want a couple for flow testing. You know before I junk my brand new $296 freaking dollar set.

Thanks for making it that much harder to cut my 361.

Fred

I also have a brand new set itching to get tweaked... but don't tell FHCW, Ultra or anyone else...

Evil saw...

Yah, I saw that one on Ebay too (I am cruising for a 390 or 361). But $240 sods for a stripped plug port power head that has obviously been thrashed??? I dunno... I toss our 290 around a lot and it hardly has a scratch on it. These things take a pretty good beating, even with the plastic cases. Something evil happened to this saw...
