Recently bought a PP 375 and noticed the hand guard was half there, and just thought it was broken. Then I noticed it is not broken, just made that way. Saw 2 others on the net with the same guard. Were some of these meant to have a chain brake and they just used a " stub" ? Saw was made in Canada by the way.

Post up a picture of it, more than likely had a brake type cover & someone has swapped a standard clutch cover onto it.

Pic of the standard type HG from fleabay.

Working on my camera. Hope to get some better pictures soon. But you get the idea (sorta).

Saw had a brake originally, your photo is just the #23 heat shield option…not a #50 HG.

Put a brake cover on it to save your left hand, lol!

Thanks for the info.So I assume the complete chain brake system would be inside the clutch cover.
