I am looking for a Winchester 21 Side by side shotgun. This model is called a Duck or Magnum. It will need to have 32 inch barrels and here's the biggy a Vent Rib. Single trigger. There are other side by side's I am always looking to grab for my self. I have trades or cash. If this gun is waiting for me at your local sport shop send me there number and there will be a finders fee for the gun.

I would also be intersted in a 21 trap. Now get looking the right gun has a nice reward. I would also like parkers or English side by sides. The 21 needs to be addressed by the end of July. Hopefully mid month so I can get it ready for the boxbird season comming up.

Mark,

I will keep my eyes peeled. There are a couple of good shows coming up here & I have a lot of contacts here with the local dealers & etc.

I'm not into the gun thing like i used to be (no time anymore) but do go to the shows when I can.

I'll be sure & let you know if i find anything.

Mike

Oh no, not another gun! There should be a law! How many Spotted Owls have you bagged now!
Barky, lets go to the Yukon and hunt Grizzle Bear, if the bear chases us, I'll throw rocks at you, just so the bear knows whose side I am on. lol
Did you find me a Savage Featherweight yet and that sawed off shotgun?
John

John Hunting the big bears is boaring I went to Kodiak Island a few years ago for the big bruins. That was like shooting fish in a barrel. With that, they should make it a law only bow for all big game. I will step out on a limb here but if you need a gun to hunt big game you shouldn't be hunting. North American game we'll say. 7mm Ultra scoped against any game is like OK here's my prize coming up.

You boys should try pigeon shooting AKA Boxbirds, There tons of fun and if you can shoot there's pleny of money to go with it. Just think John if you can win one good shoot it would pay for a new Skidder.
Here's a Moose from the Yukon early in the season, one arrow from a stick bow and he was out. 16 yard shot.

Thats a good looking Moose, Mark.
I have a good Gun SHop that has many collectables. I will call them today and see if they have anything you might like.

Marky I could not agree with you more , you donot need a cannon to kill most animals , we have alot of moose here and i have shot alot of them , and most were shot with a .308, i have lots of big mag. guns but most time i take the .308, most of the moose i have shot were under 50 yards cause that is about the distance you can see in good bush, in the swamps all you need is a knife cause if you can see him you should be able to touch him

but as for now you can keep your bow and arrow, I have had a few run ins with bulls that i was very glad that i had a gun, when you can count the hairs on there nose this is a little to close for me

here's one

You're braver than I am (I'd be hard pressed to bring a 21 on a grouse hunt... or pheasant, for that matter), or I'm not certain about this pigeon thing...

Are we talkin' doves or those little grey birds that we use for training the Labs?

There's an actual season? Doves, sure... but, pigeons? And finally - Money? What money? Is this an organized event that, being a dense midwesterner, I haven't heard of?

Enlighten me if I'm deserving... this sounds interesting.

Good Luck,
Matt

Duh...

I AM dense... illiterate, too. That one doesn't have the rib... sorry.

FYI - Having been a "one gun man" my whole life, I decided to try something new  . For Father's Day I received my second shotgun - a new side-by-side (since we're talkin 21's/Parkers/Purdy, etc. I won't waste your time in tellin' what kind.) I have always been told that the SxS's are a dream to shoot. And, after walkin' around the house pretending to hunt -and mounting/dismounting the gun (and driving my lab nuts). I must admit, I like the feel. I'm just a little leery of not shooting with 'ole faithful. I haven't missed too many with her over the years - geez, 20yrs. of shooting the same shotgun. I suppose it's time...

Sorry to ramble.

Matt

Thanks but I am after the vent rib, Eurrochasse is always priced high on these true clubs.

Here's a little info on shotguns they are all tubes you could have a Mossberg or a Purdey they are all tubes, But feel is what counts, me I love the 21's. The vent rib gets the shot higher on the pattern board. Live pigeon shooting or Box birds is a game where there are 9 boxes. you shoot 32 yards from the boxex not knowning what box releases the bird. 2 shots to drop the bird in the ring. This is a game that will humble master class shooters.

PLenty of money on each bird, there are shoots here in the US that the winner will walk out with 50K most are about 10K.
That's why the true pigeon guns have no safty, mechanical triggers and choked tight and tighter. If you want to know more email me.

Shotgun

I will asssume that you are looking for a 12 guage or possibly a 10 guage. What grade are you looking for?Are you looking for one with Auto ejectors?Shotgun news is possible the best place two start. HAve you done a search at Winchester.com/shotguns/. Ken.

What a week I tracked one down and it will be at my place for the final inspection tues. My last pigeon model 21 trap gun was shot about 425K times. That gun has been to 7 countries and 8 world pigeon shoots. Ol Max just couldn't take another rebuilding.

Then it's off to http://www.seminolegun.com/ for a quick porting job. At the end of July it's 2 months of pigeon shoots. What a job.

Marky if this shoots are not to far from your house let me know , i think i would like to see one in person

 Ben, last I checked O/U are considered doubleguns as well...

I'm sure you wouldn't be harassed that much with your Benelli.

Unless you try and convince someone that it's a double... :D
