Whats up with windsor bars made in Canada? They do not have Sandvik tips and the appear cheaper.

I have some laminated bars and chains that say S/W.
does this mean they are made for/by both companys or is it one and same company with different sale lines like Husqvarna/Jonsered?????

Windsor bars have been made in Canada for many years.
Windsor lost a patent infringement lawsuit over the sprocket nose, whereupon the family that basically owned Windsor handed the factory keys to Sandvik.
Oregon has bought both name, and plants of each company a coulpe years ago.

I have went through quit a few Windsor bars on various saws. All have been made in the USA except this one. FWIW the Windsor bars Baileys and Comercial cutters sell are made in the USA.
