wisconsin vh4d engine wont start

i have a wisconsin vh4d gasoline engine that wont start...not getting any fire to the plugs...need help please

Plugs, wires, rotor all good? Clean fuel, free from water? Carburator clean and not plugged or clogged? Do you have compression? Has it run before and how long ago.

more info would be needed.

yes was running yesterday....i am getting fire to my coil but no spark out...changed coil and ignitor and still nothing...does the stator have anything to do with the engine starting....or is only for charging the battery?

You might want to move the thread or start again in the "Large Equipment" forum. Lots of motorheads in there.

First off: I'm going to report this thread so it can be moved to the proper section.

Second: Does your engine have manual points or a pickup type trigger. If points, verify the voltage on the "-" side of the coil varies from 0 volts to battery voltage and back, as the engine is slowly turned over.
