Wondering if this 9" Dosko Chipper would be a good purchase?

Looking through craigslist and found this posting.

Seems like a fair deal but I'm not sure about Dosko, not as common as Vermeer or Bandit so I don't know if they're reliable or what.

One thing that kinda makes me wonder is the fact that it was a rental piece of equipment, so who knows the kind of abuse its gotten from customers over the years..

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I do lots of residential work, and usually anything bigger than 6" gets tossed in the firewood pile anyway..
I currently don't have a chipper, so I'm assuming even though its not the best, it will increase my work efficiency and production...

Could be a good deal. Check for parts availability and ask to see paperwork on "new kubota diesel". Getting 50 horsepower out of a 1.5 liter motor either explains the short life of the first one or is a misprint. Good luck

Thats a good deal if its sound. I would sure check it out and bring cash.
I could get $8k for a unit like that is its in good shape.
