wow! how much land does everyone have? seems like you'd need a lot of space to store two seasons' worth of wood. i only have room for 1 season, and it's only a few cords. i guees i could store it on the front lawn, but i don't think my wife or neighbors would really like that. :biggrinbounce2:

dutch,
Let me ask you, how does the metal roofing work when you take wood out during the winter? I'm thinking it would be hard to handle, but can't visualize. I'd like something better than the plastic I use now (don't see a shed in my immediate future though )
here is a pic taken early this year , shows how roof is supported , post are 5' in ground.View attachment 51189

The truck/dozer/skidder....now thats what I love! How does it work and what is it made from?
works well, 1980 f150 400cu 4x4 full welded rear posi, winter chains, 4000lb weight in plow season, elect over hyd dump, plow up ,angle & hyd down press for dirt, built my own frame from seat back, no springs on rear , 2 trans coolers, straight 3" exhaust pipes , sounds like a for sale ad, hard on u- joints & fuel

I would say that I'm 6 or 7 years ahead on my woodsupply or maybe even more. My goal each spring is to haul in more than I burned that past winter so I'm always gaining.
don't you worry about wood going bad after laying too long
