In the tree service, have Altec bucket truck, 16' Cam Superline 7 ton custom modified dump trailer, 20' 5ton landscape trailer, self propelled stump grinder and 60hp Kubota w/large root grapple for picking up large wood chunks.

Sometime we do not have the 16" dump trailer with us and load wood chunks (4 to 6' lengths big in dia.) on the 20' landscape trailer but would like to trade in that trailer and get a trailer that has a boom with a knuckle attachment to pick up larger wood pcs (4' long up to whatever). I know they make trailers that can load logs but I am thinking smaller size (20 to 24 feet in length and maybe 6 to 7 ton capacity) to be pulled by F350 dually. I like to buy really good equipment not the low end junk that falls apart after a few years. Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to where I might find such a piece of equipment ? Or direct me to someone who can help. I am not in the logging business, just residential tree service but a nice H.D. trailer with a loading boom would be nice asset to the business. I will take all the info I can get on this. I was told there are booms brands out there that are better than others. I don't have a clue as to boom lengths suggested or capacities, recommended motors, hydraulics and such.

Anderson makes a really nice setup. Not cheap but nice!!
I have a 16' Nokia log loader mounted on a 6 ton trailer. This is one of the best investments I ever made. This unit will pick a 16" hard maple log 12' to 14' like nothing.

I have a Hardy log trailer. Might need some modifications to get you legal in your state. Nice unit honda powerpack winch too! If interested let me know.
