Hard to tell in the pics. I know the pin oak stinks green. I'll try and get a pic of one I have down in my pasture. It's about the same size.We have a bunch of pin oaks that don’t start branching until 6-8 although a lot of the younger ones start really low. I think I’m wrong about this being pin oak, but their bark can look pretty similar.

Well I only take reds from blow down sites or sick trees. Amateur servant of the land here. I do a lot of tree work for the elderly and those who don't have means. Low or no prices for service. I take the wood and offer them wood to burn as a bonus.Thanks for the replies . Dont get much young red or pin oak wood. Because I dont like felling healthy trees but these had to be.
