I haven’t given him the ok to drop it off . If he delivers he sends pictures for me to say yes or no . If it’s elm I’ll passMaybe Elm. Have you tries splitting any yet? Some looks kinda punky.
I don’t think I’ll take the wood .One piece on the top looks like it split cleanly. I'm thinking it may be basswood. Bark slips off in sheets, wood is bright white when first exposed then turns yellow quickly, easy to split and light weight. Pretty low on the Btu charts, but delivered for free not bad if you need shoulder season wood.

Basswood, more than likely. Burns fast, it's a light wood, works good for outdoor stuff.Not sure he’s been good up until this load of wood
