Here's my wood wagon/snow pusher. It just happens to be a Dodge too. This one is a 85 1 Ton with a 360 4 speed. I had to replace the clutch, timing chain, and fix the plow pump. I have less than $1500.00 in it.

FYI..... The timing chains on the 360s are good for around 60,000 miles or so. How many miles do you have on that truck?

Thats a sweet setup!! This truck has 165,000 on it. I have no idea whats been done to it.

He took the radio (I'll put an am radio thats all I listen to), heater works too well, lol, AC I dont know yet if it works, but it has it. I drove it 65 miles home on the interstate at 75 mph, and it drives and rides pretty well. Steered well, no obvious play in the steering, rode well, no vibrations, and we didnt balance the tires when we put them on.

That's a great deal. Those older Dodges were good pickups. We had one when I was a kid that we beat the heck out of and it kept on doing the job.

Yah AM radio- I listen to talk radio all day when I'm in the shop.

Wow...good deal.

Nice saw too

I once paid $50 for a 79' Dodge D100 slant 6 P/U...

Drove it for over a year, overheated it, ran it out of oil, busted a radiator, exhaust exploded...and it still ran and drove.

I couldn't kill it....I tried.

Dont get me wrong, I love Chevys, but the 225 slant 6 was a workhorse engine, like the ford 250 straight 6. Too bad they dont make engines like that anymore...

Thats a great deal. It definitely needs the 33's on it. I have a 92 Chevy I put a 3" suspension lift and 33's on, thats my wood/meat wagon. Its hauled tons of wood and deer! Thats cool its fuel injected, the old 360 and 318 were cold blooded :censored:. A good old wood wagon is extremely important to have. I've had a piece of oak slip out of my hand many times pitching into the bed. When the saw is worth more than truck, I don't care if the side of the bed gets banged up. As long as the 4wd works and the radio plays Hank Jr, all is good.

Nice score for sure. Can't go wrong for a wood hauler for 175$. Is it a 4 speed or auto. I can tell you that the clutches are weak and like mentioned before the timing chains sux. Keep an eye on the manual hubs if it hasn't been changed over for the 4x4. I know they one my brother had wouldn't engage when needed.

Its an automatic tranny. It has mile marker lockout hubs, and Im going to take them apart and clean them today as well as change oil and add an oil pressure gauge so I know more accurately what the oil pressure is. I hate the factory gauges.

I picked up a set of air bags from a 1 ton chevy van that Im gonna add between the leaf springs and frame so I can load her FULL of firewood!
