now the latest test. richened up a tad, 8 tooth sprocket. rakers taken down a bunch. i was told this is walnut, but i can not say for sure!

Ben, some more good work...that thing is so much faster than stock, there's no comparison at all! But that last video was sort of confusiing for teh final form of teh modded saw, since it was a heck of a lot bigger log than the other stuff you were using. It appeared slower than your earlier versions, but I'm sure it was just as fast, and the size and hardness of teh wood was what was deceptive. I guess I have to get some modded saws sometime, cause this is good stuff!
 
the reason for the last video was all the talk of larger wood on here. that piece of burl has been sitting out in my yard since mid last summer. i wanted to use every bit of the 20" bar on the saw to show the saw under the most load i could come up with, if that is walnut its one butt kickin saw! this past week i have been using the saw daily clearing doug fir trees that were blown over in the last wind storm ranging from 10-20" in diameter. my goal is to be the best on the west coast.. i think i have a good start at it :)
