Just wanted to hear from folks who have had any experience with a ported 272xp and their thoughts good or bad. Considering having work done to mine but wanted to know if it was worth it.

I have a ported 372xp. Ported oabout 10 years ago. It was worth every penny and more. Will make you grin from ear to ear when you use it. Once you use a ported saw, it’s hard to go back to a stock saw.
I like mine. A buddy ported it and it stinkin' rips with anything from a 24"-32", but I've never run a stock one to compare it to.
It's quickly becoming my most favorite saw!

My ported 272 rips; not much bad to say about it at all. If the port work is done well it will certainly be worth the effort.
I put a ported 272 cylinder on a 670 jred for a fella here and thought it ran pretty good
