Woodsman Pro chain is actually Carlton brand. good quality, holds an edge for a LONG time in clean wood. oregon chain is made from a softer metal than Carlton brand, which means that oregon chain will generally get dull easier. though there are some oregon chains that hold an edge real well. it all depends on how good at staing out of the dirt you are.

Woodsman Pro badge is also going on some chain that is Windsor chassis with Oregon cutters. It is good chain too.

Any chain gets dulled by dirt! The one that is a little easier resharpened might be more user friendly in the long run. That argument has been kicked around lots of times about relative hardness of Stihl vs Oregon vs Carlton. Carlton is usually cheaper and is first rate chain. Stihl is commonly the most expensive, but some of its offferings in certain sizes are well worth the extra bucks. Getting the right type of chain for the operation you have in mind is likely more important than brand.
