Nice 88hp 088 Mag you got there John, did you measure how far she was spittin' chips yet??By the looks of it must be a few feet anyways:DDo you have some of your square ground chain on the beast? Keep up the good work

Later Rob.

Hi Tim, thanks for linking the videos. Its an indescribable rush to to make cuts with the 88HPKD. I was using a very fast woodchain that Ken made up for me. I still had Maxima 927 as the mix and the audience that I had, thought I was using nitro. Just getting pumped up for Mosquito Road.

Wow that's so fast it's scary!

Make sure you don't slip on that Snow Gypo!

I noticed that the video ended about 2 frames before that round rolled on top of your foot, John.

stihl 088 cutting times

Hello John,
nice videos, looks like the nitrous oxide system is working good.
timed both video's five times and averaged the cutting times. in the bigger log you cut 4.38 seconds, in the little log I got a average of 2.08 seconds. pretty nice cutting for a canadian. lol, this should get you tuned up for the roopley's event on march 15th. you,ll have to run my 3120 though. but it's almost as fast as your 088

Just a footnote here but I believe that a turbine was tried (T3 or T8 or something like that) helicopter engine was tried but they burned thier shop down during the testing process. V6bill may be able to elaberate on this.
