I found a Homelite XP1020Auto recently at a local auction. It is all original and all there. The piston is frozen. I pulled the muffler and what one can see of the cylinder wall looks very good, bright and smooth. I put some mix and penetrating oil in the cylinder and am letting it set for awhile.
Before I get serious about tearing it down, I would like to see a service manual for the XP1020Auto. Can anyone tell me if there are service manuals online for viewing or where one might be available?
The serial # of this saw is 2380247. Is there a website online that will give the date of manufacture of this saw?
I sure would like to get the old thing running for a companion saw to my C5.
I have 4 old Homeys all running great except for the XP1020Auto. Would like to hear it roar.
Thanks for any help.
