I hope everything goes well Jeremy. There are brilliant surgeons in the USA so try not to worry if possible. Take care bro, you will be on your feet in no time. Simon.

Great advice. I've had two back surgeries. The second one was because I got in a hurry to heal up from the first one and went back on the saw before I should have. Take it easy and do what they tell you. And hurry back.

Me too. After the first operation I was like new man. No pain. Felt great. But, I picked up a small power supply about six weeks out and popped the one below it.

The next one I stayed off the damn thing for a long time.

That was 20 years ago and no problems since.

Not neccessarily true Kenskip, your surgury was many years ago . It is much easier on your body, and healing time is much quicker if you use bone grafts from a bone bank .

Wendell , Some of the best spine surgeons in the world are orthopedic surgeons .
You should get an MRI soon , because those nerves radiating from cervical spine also control critical things like BREATHING and SWALLOWING !!!

The first spinal surgery was back (pun intended) in 1992. Second was 2003 third was 2005.I was offered to use the bone bank but as mentioned their have been cases wear the bone refused to accept the nutrients and eventually decayed.
I should mention that the first surgery was in the lumbar region and the last two were in the cervical (neck).I have some images someplace and attempt to locate them. Ken

Google Titanium Bone Cage.

Well there you have it, proof that Stihl saws are bad for you! :poke:

All kidding aside I hope you have a problem free procedure and quick recovery. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Good luck and have a speedy recovery. We will miss your wit while you are away.

Al.

I know he is.....but still......that looks bad. :msp_unsure:

We are here....if you need anything just call.

Oh I know, someone had to give him some flack in this thread. ;)

I'm like an underwire, supportive but sometimes it hurts lol

Best of luck with a speedy recovery, I know how frustrating it is to be injured.

Jeremy, I really don't know how you've dealt with this pain. I've been down with my back before, laying on the floor, and couldn't even get up. It was so pathetic that I laid there and laughed. But that was NOTHING compared to yours! A few days and I was back in business.

Praying for you J..keep the faith! Like others have said its a good thing this happened before any permanent damage done and there's something they can do about it. I'm waiting for a back transplant myself. :hmm3grin2orange:
