Zama carb question

C1Q EL36 carb with the brass "balls" retaining the internal metallic limit screws. I have the brass balls removed, but what do I do to get the screws out. I still only get 1/2 turn stop to stop.

Hopefully pry off with a pick, otherwise maybe try to start a small machine screw into the slot of the cap in hopes that it bites and lifts the cap.

What I did was use my pencil grinder to open up the center enough to get a small screw to bite in and used it to pull the cap. I kind of like the caps so I may order replacements and modify so that they are fully adjustable and removeable then replace. Easier to keep the screwdriver engaged.
