Sharp chain
Runnin skip chain I see. Faster to sharpen! Doesn’t bite as many times in a single revolution. Less vibration in the “cut”.

I run full chisel chains. The 4 link are my tire chain.
People cut ice with chainsaws, so I'm guessing frozen logs are also OK.
What I want to know is what kind of chain I need to cut
Only southern chains cut ice. The farther north you buy them from the better they cut.
If the wood is frozen and you are cold, you are not working hard enough.
What is your cutter type? Semi?
Ice fishing or trolling?
Just kidding.... yes you may....
I get that. 2 link run smoother. Less gap between cross links. Heavier. More expensive. They both have their place.
use antifreeze instead of chain oil (Joke by the way!)
