Good bunch there. Keep digging and the pile will grow till you can't stand no more. That's a lie there's always room for more ask me how I know this.

To many saws? Is there such thing? (Insert evil laugh here)

Would it be hard to find parts for a 770/707?

Homelite made hundreds of thousands of direct drives of that style. Most of them red:hmm3grin2orange:
P&Cs and cylinder shrouds can be hard to find, the rest is no big deal. You don't need the ashtray, they usually rubbed on the pulley or were tossed during a starter repair fit.

Upon closer examination it looks like a 600D from the looks of the skinny fuel tank. Still around 80-85cc and parts can be had from real common modes like the Homelite Zip. Check with Ma and Pa small engine shops for a NOS clutch drum and sproket, I found one NIB for $10 for a .404. I would also look for a long Homelite bar somewhere around 30". Carb kits are still available for the large Tillotson carbs, I paid around $17.

All of the Homelite Zips I have seen are blue, but maybe the Zip 5 and 6 were red, I would measure the bore and go from there.

I think Joe was interested in the truck they are on.....

Didnt think of that one.. lol its a 99 ford F450 Crew cab

I started to clean up that real old homelite i got and i found out it is a 600 D
So i think i might restore it! But its locked up solid. WD40 and patience! lol
