I have been having some issues with this Titotson carburetor. Recently, it was rebuilt because the diaphragm was bad and the old saw would not run. Now I am able to run the saw but not running the way i'd like. 1 full turn out on both mixture screws does not seem like the wants to start. If I go 2 full turns out it seems to run much better but hesitates to rev up.

I have checked the normal things.
1. Good Fuel
2. Cracked fuel lines
3. Cleaned Filter

I plan on putting it back together and see if I can play around with the fuel mixture to get it to run on one turn out on each screw.

Here is a picture of the carb for reference.

I might have found the problem in a bad seat where the carb meets the cylinder. We will see when the new chain shows up for the saw tomorrow. If it seems to run well into a piece of wood, I'll take it up and tach it out at 12,000 rpm and then clean it up a bit.

Does anybody have a recommendation for new wrap for the handle?

Handle Wrap

Some people have used electrical shrink tubing. Purchase at the electrical supply. Remove bar and place cut to length tubing over bar. Heat it up with a hot air gun and it shrinks down tight on the handle.

Other people have used bicycle Handle bar tape. It comes in all different colors and textures at better bicycle stores. there's an art to wrapping and securing it but some people are pretty good at it.

Here's a link to heat shrink 1.25"
