I finally got my turn at molesting one of these for a local guy. It came to ma as a tired ex-rental 6401.

It will be receiving a new OEM 7900 top end with the new slab sided piston, HD filter setup, and of course a sticker.

SInce I'm a lil cramped for room. My parts washer lives outside. After cleaning I put all of the small stuff in a small plastic shoe box & the big stuff goes in an 18 GAL tote. This helps me keep everything together.

Doesn't look THAT tired- or yer just a good cleaner.

I think Andy said something about me getting a ported 7900- Too bad I'm not local. :(

Maybe If its still there in a couple weeks I can snuggle with it a little when we visit.

Here's the two cyl side by side.

I can see what they say about these having low case volume.

The first thing I needed to do was mark the piston at TDC on the ex floor to see how far I'll be able to drop the cyl. Since I'll be cutting the squishband.
