I came across this neat little saw and tuning it up. It has an idle screw and a H screw as well, but no low adj.
Even though it's plastic, it starts and runs well, but a special tool is required to adjust the H.
How many cc's is this little saw and how old is it?

Hey man, I have one of these. It was my first cahinsaw when I was much younger. Wanted to be just like grandadady with the chainsaw thing, only he had a Mac. I bought it new from Wally Mart in 1988 $99USD+ tax. Great little saw, I've cut a lot of wood with it. Mine came with a 10" hardnose bar and it has about 28CCs of displacement but very adequete for a 10 or 12" bar with 3/8" low profile cahin. I still have it and it still has good spark and compression, but doies have some fuel system issues. I didn't run it enough after I got my 009 since they served the same function. I figured the 009 was safer pruning bushes and trees on the ground and for the limited climbing work I did as well as for a cut out saw/backup fpr my 025. I have an owners manual with all the specs and lots of other info on it if you want me to I'll dig it up and scan what you want me to. Good luck with it,
J.D.

Thanks JD, I just may follow thru on your generous offer.
It would be fun to put a pipe on it and have 0-30 cc races. I started it up but havn't cut with it yet, but will build race chain for it and set world record. :blob2:

That is what my dad bought for me to use as a little boy. I still remember, he paid $69 for it in, I think, 1979. That saw cut a lot of wood for about 6 years. He no longer heats with wood, but still has it and still uses for little stuff.

I bought one of them at a garage sale about six yrs ago for 5 bucks, loved it till it tossed its cookies last winter.

Now John I know you probably used your bigger toys to cut that stuff down. Personally, I've got a homelite similar to that one, just a little bigger though.

LMFAO :) That would be a great picture to send to Homelite for advertising. I have a pile of those little bugger saws in boxes probably from someone trying to cut logs like those with that mini-screamer. Pretty wood.

They are the neatest little saw. Like something you'd find in a box of Crackerjacks. I cut a 3" limb today in 5.2
The toggle swith is right below the top handle cause it to get switched off when wearing gloves.
I think it should be hung from the ceiling like a model airplane!

I got two that my grandpa had after he passed on. They were fun to play with but no matter what I did that little bugger would not idle for more then 8 or 9 seconds with out cutting off. I finally ended up selling them and buying a farm boss. I wish I hadn't sold them though they would have been worth holdin on to just as wall hangers.

I like the little things, ya can double production by running one in each hand. lol

too bad it doesnt come with bigger dogs on the front of it.

Well since i started with this saw and teh 3200MAC, I didn't know chainsaws were supposed to have dawgs! Yeah I will dig out teh manual, my scanner is beinga POS right now so I dounno if I can get you pics or anything. Bet you could get that thing to cut like a scalded cat with 91VS or 63PM instead of the safety crap they put on there, but I was always a little afraid to do it with no chainbrake and whatnot.

Ya know john, if ya get bored with that little saw, send it to me. I'll give it a nice home next to one of its bigger brothers, and keep it warm.
