Man, only if you could find a way to use that saw all day long. It would sure be better than lugging around a 660 or 395.
I carry one of these little guys on my quad for trail clearing.Open up the muffler a little and it'll really scream.Working on a 021 to help it out a little.Just made a "winch boom "for the back of the quad to use as a little skidder.Lots of wood thats to hard to get to.I'll try to get pics of my rig posted.

Ive got one from 1979, Metal case version.
Pretty cool little saws seeing one with a pipe would be cool.

Somehow missed this thread but just read through it. Here's a couple months old pic of a Homie XL I found locally in a classified/sell ad...scored the saw for $5, bought the red Homie bar from a member here to throw on it...bar that came with it was pinched pretty bad. Running 3/8 LoPro.
I pretty much have relegated it to my first 'shelf queen' duties...lol.That bar really makes the saw. Almost too purty to run.
Hit the nail on the head with that one...the filter element setup is strange to say the least. I may try to rig something up that drapes over the filter housing to keep it sitting on the carb a little better...just not much room to work with.I've got the same exact saw. Mine has low, high, and idle screws. All right there together. It will idle indefinately and purrs like a kitten. I believe it's only 26cc though. The filter setup is rather odd. Nothing to hold it in place.
That's just how they work though.
