Performance Outdoors 60cc Comparison

Here it is. A full weight and size comparison of the 60cc saws. All but 2 of these are new saws off the shelf. Should be an interesting comparison of Echo, Dolmar, Jonsered, and even the famed Stihl 361.

So lets get things started with the most often asked question and the easiest one to answer.
What does this saw weigh?
We are using a $40 150lb electronic scale off the bay so to eliminate the chances of it giving a false reading
I sat all saws on the scales multiple times and checked the weight. I have checked this scale against my A/C charging scale and feel it is pretty accurate.

The 361 and 600P are used saws. I drained fuel and drained the bar oil and flushed the tank with mix. Cleaned them up as best i could. The 600P was a low hour unit and had no missing pieces. The 361 has had a hard life and along with the recoil cover missing a chunk and the label it was also missing a chunk from the clutch cover. The rest of the saws are new/never fueled straight off my shelf.

This is what I came up with to ensure all measurement are equal. Grid pattern laid out on a 90* backboard. Length, width, and height all in one spot. Should be able to keep accuracy to within 1/8 inch.

First up the Echo CS590
Width at Recoil-7 7/8"

Now we just need to see the 362 C and 562 for comparison sake. I believe the powerhead of both will be about 13 lbs even.

Weigth and measurements should be the same between the 2258 and the 2260. The 560 and 555 likely are an ounce or two lighter.

The 562 is of course a slightly different story.

No surprices really - the Echo 620 is heavier than the 590 also in the specs - and then the 620's wrap handle likely adds a little.

Yes I'm suprised the 6400 weighs that much. I think I will save up for a 7900 or 7910. Same weight right?
