Well I ain't been on AS so much since I've broke my leg. That happened Aug. 18th. But I have got my hands on a few more saws since then. Picked one up from the shop as well. My P42HP was the first. I picked up it from the shop. Local Stihl dealer tuned it for me. Next was a Poulan Pro 405. Same thing as my P42HP. Not a bad saw. It just needs a little fine tuning. After that was a Stihl MS290 Farm Boss. From the looks of it. Who ever owned it before I did. Used it once, maybe and then got rid of it. So that was one heck of a steal. The MS290 came with one simple and yet strange scrench holder. The day after. I picked up a Husquvarna 372XPW. Already dual ported, full wrap, full set of dawgs. That I couldn't have asked more. I snapped a few photos. So yall take a look.

Hey man, nice saws, I like that 372 especially. I am buying a full wrap from my brother to try on mine. I have never even cut with one, not many do around here because we cut on mostly flat land and cut low to the ground. I could see having one for felling trees on tree removal jobs where you can cut waist high, then cap the stump with another saw. Nice.

Got yourself some nice saws there!
What size bar is that on the 290?

25 inch to be exact. It's the original bar and chain. No I ain't going to go down in bar size. I'm just going to buy a new chain for it. It was a steal in a half.

That 372 looks like a Gary Hunt ported saw. Did you buy that from one of Brownson's cutters? A contractor friend of mine from Tri-City was selling some ported 372s also. :chainsaw:

Believe it or not. I bought it from Associated Buyer's. Who ever was the original owner was. He took really good care of the saw. It really sadness me that the saw was sold. But I am more than glad to give it a happy home.

Wish me luck on my saw hunt boys! I got a few 044's lined up. 075, 288, 1-87's and a SP 125 just waiting to be bought!

Not that I've seen. Seems just fine to me. I don't see why it would make it more sensitive. It ain't all that much in weight. Though I can see where your coming from.

Ya boy, you and me think alike, the more buying the better. I really like the hunt for saws too. I get them from dealers, craigslist, word of mouth, auctions.

Those saws you are looking to buy are all good models, you are in saw heaven in the PNW. I want to take a trip out there sometime and bum around mountain biking, camping and visitings attractions/saw shops. My idea is to buy saws while out there and then ebay them to pay for my trip.:dizzy:

Yes sir I have. If I can't get a hold of HM1 Rosado in Kansas City. Well I will have to fly out there to prove that I have a busted leg. Also I received another letter from the Marines. 01 Nov. 2008 I have to report to Eugene for an Admin. Muster. Only 3 hours and they are paying me 190.90$. Can't go too wrong there. The Major I spoke with in Portland. He basically broke it down that I most likely wont have to go back. After all, there is a huge risk of my leg shattering after its healed. Now my doctor's office is giving me the run around. I need two full copies of my medical records and they don't want too. So I'm going to have to pull some tricks. Wish me luck though!
