Let me get get this right. You want a 4HP top handle saw but you cant maintain/sharpen your chain?:surprised3: :dumb:

Since you said you are out of work and funds are tight I would suggest you using the search function on how to sharpen a chain for starters.

Note: I cant believe I spent time to post this... its getting stinky in here fellas.
 
Idk maybe I can come up with a paying job I've just been doin some spring cleaning I'm out of work right now right now though so I can't be sinking any money into it

Give it a rest. I didn't buy that over size stone and yeah I used what I had at hand to get the job done. If you've never been in that position then get off the thread cause that's the only position I've ever been in.

I've got a few welding jobs wanting me I got screwed with a false positive a couple weeks ago apparently the French bread with everything seasoning I had for breakfast has poppy seeds in it and yeah

Lol hell yeah. Theirs a guy down here that runs a flea market I've got him keepin eyes out for the 200T and 201T

The chains still kickin chunks not fine sawdust which means I obviously sharpened it even if the grinder was to big. I never claimed to have 20 years experience but I had never had a problem sharpening a chain good as new before.

Any idea if the carlton chains are better than the carbide oregons?

Yeah they're expensive as long as you keep um out of the rocks and any in bedded wire.. they'll cut badark for 50 hours or better with out sharpening so really time wise pays for itself

We always had to have ours brought in to be sharpened though idk why he didn't just spend the money on the diamond sharpener
